I drew my hands with pencil for this project because I am most comfortable using this tool. My hands being the subject of this project seemed easier than it actually was. The subject was just my hands which I thought wouldn't be too hard. drawing with my left hand was very hard fro me. I am not really a great artist and using my non dominant hand made that very hard. I do not think that I would use my non dominant hand again for my artwork unless I had to. I have a hard time using my left hand successfully. I thought I did a decent job at this project for my ability to draw and I liked testing my drawing skills.

module 9

I chose the videos The Drawings of Michelangelo and The Mind of Renaissance to watch. I chose these videos because Michelangelo and Leonardo di Vinci are two artist who really interest me. I really like learning about these two artists work and interpreting them. The first video The Drawings of Michelangelo talked a lot of the Sistine Chapel. This video talked about the great depths that this ceiling took to paint. It talked about how no detail was lost in this piece of art and really showed how beautiful and truly amazing it was. In the second video The Mind of Renaissance it talked about Leonardo di Vinci and all of his talents. This video talked about how he was a really a big part of the Renaissance and how and why he was called the "Renaissance Man". Both of these videos were very interesting to me and I really enjoyed hearing about Leonardo di Vinci and Michelangelo. They related to the reading as well by talking about these amazing artists and all of their work that th...

video review 2

I chose The Measure of All Things: Greek Art and The Human Figure for the video of my choice. I chose this video because it seemed the most interesting to me because it discussed the human figure and Greek art. This video talked about the human body and its importance in nature and Greek art. It talked about they type of art that was typically for the Greek culture as well. This video was also interesting because it talked about Greek architecture and all of the obsessions about learning about the human body. The video More Human Than Human talked about all types of art in different cultures. Both of these videos also talked about the human body and its importance, and how well they knew about the human body. These videos relate to the text because they both talked about different cultures and their art and the art of the human body. These videos were cool because they talked about the human body and its importance in nature and art. They really helped give a better understanding of th...

video review

I watched the Science of Design video and Sustainable Development and Architecture video. In the Science of Design I learned that there is more to architecture than the style of it. Architecture has a lot of detail to it and it is a very complex project. For example when building a skyscraper many things have to be considered like rain, wind, and other weather conditions. In the second video Sustainable Development and Architecture I learned about how many architects like to be eco-friendly with their projects. They use many green products to help conserve our Earth. An example of architects being eco-friendly is solar energy. These videos talk about the complexities and style of building things, like the text does as well. I picked these two films because I liked the aspect of how they talked about why architecture is so complex and the science behind it. I also liked to learn about how architects are eco-friendly. These videos gave me more insight about how complex architecture is. T...

video review

In the first video the main points are about sculpture with clay, marble and plaster. This video gave many insights about sculpture and talked about what material is best to sculpt from. It went into depth about what certain sculptures in different time periods used. In the second video it talked about glass and ceramics. The main points in this video were to show the techniques of glass making and the ways that glass is used. It also talks about the many uses of glass and how it is used in architecture. This video relates to the text because it talks about the main points in both sculpture, glass, and ceramics. I liked these films because they showed me more about these subjects of art that I did not know very much about. I thought at times they were interesting and showed really great points to this type of art.

peer reflections

In all of the pictures in project number 1 (elements and principles) I  did agree with both artists images. I think all of the pictures that they used to represent each element and principle. I thought both artists did a really great job at this project and I could see all of the elements and principles depicted. I also did a reflection on the Shark Girl painting. We both wanted to know more about this artist and her work because they raised questions to us. I thought all of the images that both artists were interesting. Both artists gave me different examples and a different outlook on the images chosen. I liked reading my peers reflection because it opened my eyes to different viewpoints. I liked to look at the images they selected for the elements and principles project and the art gallery project. The images that they have chosen give you a view of their style. I learned a lot from reading my peers projects and really enjoyed reading their reflections. https://ourbiochemical...
